Here are some great ideas for interjecting a little fun and lightheartedness, through movement, into time at home. The links for the first three organisations are in their titles and images.
In Ahuriri we love getting our groove on with Jump Jam and this organisation has opened up free access to some of its videos during the lockdown period.
Another resource we love to boogie to is Go Noodle.
P.E with Joe is a fantastic way to burn off some extra energy with bodyweight exercises.
Make an obstacle course. This can be done inside or outside
Draw on the concrete using outdoor chalk
Play hopscotch
Backyard cricket
Blow up balloons and play indoor volleyball (good for teaching little ones eye-hand coordination)
Play hide and seek
The floor is a swamp - Utilize household items like pillows, books, and blankets to avoid sinking into the swamp and make paths to cross the room
We hope you have lots of fun moving and grooving!
