This week we were lucky enough to have the best show with Elgregoe. The show was all about our values and anti- bullying. The children and the staff were mesmerised!
After the whole school assembly, we always get a chance to meet our Big Buddies from Ōrongomai. It is a fun time for us to do some learning together. The Big Buddies learn how to be great teachers in a Tuakana/Teina relationship. This week we enjoyed getting to meet and know each other through play.
This week the children have loved drawing and painting korus. They are certainly very proud of their efforts.
This is a very important part of our day to help our energy levels for learning. It's a good idea that it comes in a separate container as then the children don't get muddled and we can spread the sustenance throughout the day. Bananas can also be labelled on the skin.
We are so lucky to have the best, most amazing helpers in Ahuriri. We have Jo Green, Lesley Testasecca, Gemma McKenzie and Amy Brown. They are really good at settling the children in the morning, enabling amazing projects and just being incredibly wonderful! Your child may come home saying they have worked with any of these helpers as they also enhance our learning programmes in the core areas of reading, writing and maths.
